Software/Materials Used to Make The Projects: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

For three years I was a part of the Commuter Assistant program at NYU. We served as student leaders to cohorts of incoming first year commuters and acted as a resource for the students as they assimilate to life at college. Think of us as the equivalent of a residential assistant for commuter students.

Throughout my time with the Commuter Assistant programs, I worked on various graphic projects such as 2018 NYU Commuter Welcome Week Promotions. In tandem with the university's overarching Welcome Week theme of comic books, I designed flyers and graphics for the various event we were holding throughout Welcome Week using the provided assets for marketing. To make the posters more in tune to the commuter branding, I used the shape of a MTA Card as the base of the graphics.

In addition to event promotions, I created student profile graphics for all the Commuter Assistants to include in their introductary email to their cohorts. Our first contact with our students is done through email weeks prior to meeting them in person at Welcome Week. Including a graphic like this gives a more personal introduction for the commuter assistants to their students; it shows them who we are physically and showcases a touch of our personality. I allowed the Commuter Assistants to provide their own pictures and worked around them to fit the comic book theme.
